Police called to Strathfield Council extraordinary meeting

Police were called to a Strathfield Council extraordinary meeting this evening.

When the Scene called officers from Flemington LAC, a spokesperson said, "Police officers were called to the Strathfield Library in Homebush after four people refused to leave the meeting."

It is believed the acting general manager, Neale Redman called the police after Mayor Sang Ok tried to move the meeting into a closed session.

Four residents refused the leave and Cr Ok paused the meeting for 10 minutes to wait for the authorities.

There will be another extraordinary council meeting at 8am tomorrow morning in the Council Chambers.
