Mayor Daniel Bott joins ice bucket challenge to raise money for motor neurone disease

The 'Ice Bucket Challenge' has swept the world and now it has come to Strathfield.

Mayor Councillor Daniel Bott joined the craze to raise awareness for motor-neuron disease.

Right before he was dumped with a bucket of icy water, Cr Bott nominated his brother, sister and wife Adria for the challenge.

"I also dedicate this to my late grandfather Eric," he said.

Council staff gathered outside for the Council Chambers for the festivities and took pictures and videos of Strathfield's leader getting dumped with water.

Reid MP Craig Laundy also did the 'Ice Bucket Challenge'.
