Strathfield searches for partners to build town centre - video paints picture of future life

Strathfield Council are looking for private partners to invest in the Town Centre Project.

The venture will be a joint project between Council, the State Government and private investors.

Council has released a new video showing Strathfield Mayor Daniel Bott, MP Charles Casuscelli and Councillor Helen McLucas speaking about the new Town Centre project.

"The Department has ran the project through its simulators and it is proven to have worked," said Cr McLucas.

"We are ready to go. We are in the final stages where we need our partners to come on board and all systems go."

Mr Casuscelli said the Strathfield Town Centre will be a visionary project, like what the Chatswood area has achieved.

It is the kind of vision he hopes Strathfield will have, where there is a successful bus/rail interchange, commuter parking, an abundance of local business and a community engagement area, all of which, revolved around the railway hub.

Cr Bott said that the project was born out of extensive community consultation and it is something the residents want.
